Project Ballast — Every Claim, Atomic + Macro Rollup

Corrected regeneration · v2 · MGW.reference.ballast-atomic-claims.071926.v2 · regenerated live from mrx_bethune 7/19/26 · supersedes the 07-15 v1 (pre-transcript atomics + “MOSTLY OPPOSE” leans) and folds in the corrected 18-macro grouping (retires the separate 13-macro taxonomy)

So what

283 corrected atomic claims across five sources, grouped into 18 macro themes — the ledger the 07-15 bundle got wrong.

Why

The old artifacts were built before the 7/14 full transcript landed and before the Fork-D reconciliation; their leans and counts don’t match the DB.

The catch

This is Model A — it counts claims (theme intensity), not people. It reads oppose-heavy because opponents make more distinct claims. Headcount is Model B (28 oppose / 17 pro / 10 mixed / 5 neutral). Never sum across the two.

Read this before quoting a number. These are claim counts, not a vote or a headcount. 189 oppose / 68 pro / 20 mixed / 6 neutral describes how many distinct arguments were logged, weighted toward whoever argues at greater length — not how many people hold each position. For people, use the Model B headcount. The two models double-represent 6/23, 7/14, and the FB thread, so summing them inflates everything.

Step 1 · The Atomic Master List, by Source

Every individual claim as its own line, attributed to source and speaker, not merged or paraphrased away — so any macro theme traces back to exactly who said it.

Step 2 · Grouped into 18 Macro Concepts

Built from the atomic pieces above, not decided in advance. Counts use the Fork-D convention: both 7/14 sources unioned and deduped on speaker×valence×macro (transcript multiplicity preserved, ~46 derived uniques added), so 7/14-heavy themes read lower-but-true. 391 claim→macro mappings across 283 unique atomics.

Lean is the DB’s stored position_summary per macro, not a recomputed majority. “Split” / “structural” flag themes both sides use.

Provenance. Regenerated read-only from live mrx_bethune pivots on 2026-07-19; no writes. Canonical ledger state 292 atomics / 9 superseded / 440 mappings; 283 active (petition 18, 6/23 transcript 43, 7/14 transcript 113, 7/14 derived 65, FB 44). The 65 derived 7/14 atomics are active and additive per the Fork-D ruling (a prior session had wrongly superseded them; restored 7/19). Model A (this doc: atomics→buckets→18 macros) is a decoupled analytical view read zero times by the live meridianredx map, which reads Model B + the graph. The DB is the source of truth; this workbook is regenerable from it. Supersedes MGW.reference.ballast-atomic-claims.071526.v1 and MGW.reference.ballast-sentiment-taxonomy.071526.v1.
